Itinerary

Our journey takes us on a round trip from Seoul to Jeju, encompassing bus rides, ferry crossings, flights, and scenic walks. Along the way, we’ll immerse ourselves in the local culture, savor authentic cuisine, and discover a world of fun awaiting at every turn.

Day 1: Arrival in Seoul and welcome reception

Arrive at any time and check into your hotel. The adventure begins with a welcoming party in the evening. Meet your hosts, Jae and Chris, and get acquainted with your fellow travelers over welcome drinks and finger food. A great start to your Korean journey!

Day 2: Seoul to Mokpo, Purple Island and Yaght Experience

We embark on a scenic journey to Mokpo. Board a luxurious limousine bus in the morning and enjoy the landscapes en route. In Mokpo, indulge in a delicious full-course Jeolla-style meal, a true culinary delight. After lunch, stroll through the enchanting Banwol Island, also known as Purple Island. Later, we check into our accommodation. As night falls, take a yacht ride to witness Mokpo’s breathtaking night view.

Day 3 - Mokpo to Jeju, ferry, landscape and culture

The adventure continues as we ferry to Jeju Island in the morning. Upon arrival, savor a traditional Jeju-style Hansik meal. The day is packed with explorations of Jeju’s eastern treasures, including the Manjanggul Lava Tube and the serene Jeolmul Natural Recreation Forest. Don’t miss the stunning views from Sunrise Peak. We’ll check into our accommodation, perfectly placed to enjoy the panoramic vistas.

Day 4 - Trek to Mount Hallasan, Haenyo show, Jeju’s traditional female divers

Gear up for a morning hike to the majestic Mt. Halla. Post-hike, refuel with a sumptuous meal at a well-being Korean Buffet. The afternoon is yours to explore trendy cafes and local museums. The day culminates with a delightful dinner party at our accommodation, sharing tales and experiences.

Day 5 - South Jeju, Coastal beauty and cultural sites

Discover Jeju’s southern charm with a visit to the geometric marvel of Jusangjeollidae, a cliff of stunning hexagonal rock formations. Next, experience the raw beauty of the Yongmeori Coast, where dramatic cliffs meet the ocean. The day concludes with checking into our new accommodation, offering a chance to experience local nightlife or relax by the seaside.

Day 6 - West Jeju, Nature and culture

Begin in the lush Gotjawal Forest, a unique ecological area offering serene walks amidst diverse flora and fauna. Ascend Songak Mountain for breathtaking panoramic views, followed by the tranquil beauty of Cheonjeyeon Falls, known as ‘The Pond of God’. Return to our accommodation for an evening of relaxation and reflection on the day’s natural wonders.

Day 7 - Jeju to Seoul and farewell event

After checking out, we explore the Dodubong area before catching our flight back to Seoul. In the evening, celebrate the memories made with a farewell dinner party and a lively noraebang session.

Check out and depart. Free time

Check out and enjoy some free time in Seoul before your departure. Our goal is to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience, from start to finish. We can’t wait to welcome you to Korea!

I’m travelling alone – is that OK?

That’s the essence of GoodMate Travel: a multitude of our travelers join our journeys because they are embarking on solo adventures and seek to connect and share experiences with fellow like-minded individuals hailing from various corners of the globe.

How many other travellers are on each trip?

Our tours offer a Small Group Experience, typically with an average of 16 participants and a maximum of 20.

How do you arrange room sharing on the trip and who will I have to share with?

During our trips, rooms are typically allocated on a twin-share basis. For solo travelers, we match them with another traveler of the same gender, as indicated by the gender marker on their application form. However, if you prefer your own private space, the option to reserve an individual room is also available on most of our trips.

Do I need to purchase travel insurance for this trip?

Traveling with GoodMateTravel requires you to have comprehensive insurance covering cancellation, personal injury, death, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, evacuation expenses, personal liability, loss of personal property, and COVID-related expenses before embarking on your journey. It’s crucial to ensure that your insurance also extends to all the activities you plan to enjoy, especially if you’re an adrenaline enthusiast indulging in adventure activities. Your safety and peace of mind are our top priorities.

Can I get the refund?

We offer free cancellations for all tours within 24 hours of booking. There is a 30% cancellation charge for tours canceled 15-30 days before the trip. Tours canceled within 8-14 days before the trip will incur a 50% cancellation charge.

I have special dietary requirements – will they be catered for?

We will make every effort to accommodate your dietary requirements to the best of our abilities. However, in certain remote locations, it may be challenging to provide specific guarantees. If there are places on your itinerary where this may pose a challenge, we will notify you in advance. To ensure we can meet your needs, please inform us of any dietary requirements or allergies at the time of booking.
